clicking on ‘ Groceries to your door’, enter your postcode in the 'New Customer' section and click the 'Check button'. If your area is not currently covered, then fill out your e-mail address on the screen and we'll contact you when your local store becomes part of the home shopping network.

Is there a minimum order amount?

Yes we have a £25 minimum order value excluding delivery charge.

How easy is it to shop online?

It's really easy to order online with www.asda.com but your first shop will take a bit longer. Our customers tell us their first shop typically takes 30-45 minutes with subsequent shops taking about 10-15 minutes. To make your shop easier you can enter a few details from your ASDA till receipt, and the next day these products will automatically appear in your ‘My Favourites’ section. See quick start shopping in the How To Shop section.

What do you sell on the Home Shopping site?

You'll find a similar range of grocery products available to what you’d expect to find in one of our stores. At the moment we have around 20,000 products available online, and we're adding more new products all the time.

Can I order from the other online offers and get them delivered with my groceries?

Your grocery shopping will be delivered separately to other online products as Grocery items are picked at store and other items are delivered to you direct from the warehouse.

How do I know my shopping will be good quality and fresh?

It couldn't be fresher if you went to the supermarket yourself. Our pickers will pick your shopping as if it were their own. That means they will always be searching for the best quality, freshness and date codes available.

Can I order GEORGE clothing online?

George clothing is not available to order online at the moment, however you can browse the latest fashions at www.George.com.

How do I start shopping?

There are several ways you can shop with us.

Shop by aisle

Our online store is divided into aisles, sections and shelves, just like your local store. To select products directly from the store, click on 'The Store' tab at the top of the page and decide where you want to go to on the panel on the left of the screen by:

First, choosing an aisle (e.g. 'Fruit, Veg & Salad')

Second, choosing a section (e.g. 'Fruit')

Third, choosing a shelf (e.g. 'Apples and Pears')

You will be shown all the products currently available on the shelf.

To add an item to your trolley from a shelf, click the 'add' button. The product will automatically appear in your shopping trolley on the right of the screen.

Search

If you know exactly what you're looking for and can't find an item, go to the search box and just type in the name of the product or the type of food, e.g. tomato soup, apples etc.

How do I add to my order or delete items?

To change the quantity of a product, click the '+' or '-' symbols next to the quantity box in 'My Trolley' or just type the new quantity straight into the quantity box.

My Favourites

We've several ways to help make your online shopping experience even quicker, after you've completed your first order. These can be found by clicking the 'My Favourites' tab. Every time you shop the list is updated, so any new items will be saved, you can also delete any items you no longer want to appear on the list.

Once you have created a shopping list it will be saved, unless you delete it.

If a product in your shopping list is no longer available, this will be indicated next to the product. You can choose to replace this product with a suitable alternative.

Why not spend a little time creating shopping lists for all the products you normally buy? Try creating a list for:

How will I get an eVoucher?

How do I use an eVoucher?

What happens if I use an eVoucher, but the product stated isn't available?

Can I use an eVoucher in an ASDA store?

How do I make sure I am eligible for eVouchers?

I have received an eVoucher that I won't use. Can I give this to a friend/relative?

eVouchers Terms and conditions

What are eVouchers?

eVouchers are our way of saying 'thanks' to our customers, which can vary depending on the offer. For example, free delivery, money off your next order, savings on a specific product or even a free product.

eVouchers work the same way as paper vouchers do (like the kind you would find in a newspaper or a magazine) and some eVouchers will have specific conditions for use: i.e. minimum order value, delivery on a certain day/date/time, purchase of a particular product.

eVouchers are only valid for grocery shopping orders on www.ASDA.com.

What happens if I don't use an eVoucher by its expiry date?

Once an eVoucher expires it will automatically be removed from your account, so be sure to check the expiry date as soon as you receive it.

I’m trying to select an eVoucher at checkout but its not working?

All eVouchers have specific terms and conditions. If the conditions for an individual eVoucher have not been met on your current order, you will not be able to select it for use. Under these circumstances, you will be told why you  are not able to use the eVoucher, and you can choose whether to amend your order before you complete the checkout process.

Some eVouchers cannot be used in conjunction with others. If you have chosen to use such an eVoucher on your current order, all other eVouchers in your account will not be selectable.

How will I get an eVoucher

eVouchers will usually be sent out by email, so make sure you check your ASDA Online Shopping emails regularly.

If you've chosen not to receive marketing messages from ASDA Home Shopping then we're afraid we won't be able to send you any at all. So, to be sure that you receive all the eVouchers that you're entitled to, make sure you visit the 'My Details' page on the website and tick the boxes under 'Communication Preferences'.

How do I use an eVoucher?

There are 2 ways ASDA can give you an eVoucher:

1. Special offer on an email of leaflet: Simply enter the code you've been given into the eVoucher code box at the checkout.

2. Directly into your www.ASDA.com account: When you login to your account, the following icon will be displayed on the Store Welcome Page if you have received a new eVoucher. Visit the eVouchers page to see the eVoucher that you have received.

To use an eVoucher, simply select it as you complete the checkout process.

What happens if I use an eVoucher, but the product stated isn't available?

If the product you order is unavailable at the time of picking your order, the eVoucher will still be deducted from the total order value.

What happens if I amend, or cancel the order?

Any eVouchers you had redeemed will be returned to ‘My eVouchers’. You will need to select them again at the checkout every time you amend your order.

Can I use multiple eVouchers on the same order?

This depends on the terms and conditions of each eVoucher; it may be possible to redeem multiple eVouchers on one order but some eVouchers cannot be used in conjunction with others.

What happens if the total value of the eVouchers I redeem is greater than the value of my order?

The total eVouchers value will be adjusted to a maximum amount equal to your order value. Under these circumstances, the value of individual eVouchers may be reduced – this will be confirmed at the checkout page, and you can choose whether you wish to use all your eVouchers at their new values.

Can I use discount vouchers online?

You can use eVouchers that have been issued by www.ASDA.com to claim free delivery and money off your orders. Paper coupons are not accepted online.

How do I activate vouchers?

When you are checking out put your eight digit voucher number and attach it to your order.

Can I use an eVoucher in an ASDA store?

I’m sorry, eVouchers can only be used when shopping online at www.ASDA.com.

How do I make sure I am eligible for eVouchers?

In order to receive eVouchers make sure you opt in to our email communication.  We will then send you the best offers and promotions straight to your inbox.

I have received an eVoucher that I won't use. Can I give this to a friend/relative?

You are not able to give your  e-Vouchers to a friend as eVoucher codes are customer-specific and non-transferable.

eVouchers Terms and conditions

1.

eVouchers are valid only on Grocery shopping orders placed online at www.ASDA.com subject to these general terms and conditions. Your use of an eVoucher indicates your agreement to be bound by these eVoucher terms and conditions of use. ASDA will only honour an eVoucher if it is used in line with these terms and conditions of issue.

2.

Certain goods or services are excluded from all eVouchers. These include Financial Services products or any other online services that ASDA may introduce from time to time. From time to time other goods or services may be excluded and any such further exclusion will be notified to you along with the eVoucher or through the www.ASDA.com website.

Do we use cookies? It's largely up to you. When you login to the site, you can tick a box that will allow your computer to remember your customer ID when you next return to the site. If you tick the box we'll send your computer a cookie - this is just a small piece of information containing your customer ID and name which is stored on your PC hard drive. Other than Postcodes (which help us to inform you whether we are delivering to your area) our cookies don't hold any personal or confidential information about you and any information collected by the cookies in any event will not be used outside of Asda.com.

When you come back to the site the cookie allows us to greet you personally and speed up your login. It also helps us monitor what parts of the site you visit so that we can keep improving it, making it quicker to get to the parts that our customers want to get to.

We also use a second cookie to help us keep a record of the order in which you visit our pages. We use this information to improve the site, so that you can get to the places you want to go in the fastest possible time.

If you do refuse cookies, then we will not be able to do the things that we've described, but you'll still have no problems using the site and shopping with us safely and privately.

Our last comment on privacy is to assure you that we continually review our practices to make sure we back up our principles above with real actions - not just words.

What Information do we collect and what do we use it for?
You can have a look through our Online shop without giving us any personal information about yourself.

-
E-mail address - we send a confirmation of your order via email. We can also keep you up to date of anything else that you may be interested in if you have given us permission to do so, or in situations were we need to contact you with regard to our service to you. Rest assured, we won't bombard you with boring emails - we haven't time to do this any more than you have time to read them!- - Telephone numbers for day and evening - if there are any problems with your order or we need to clarify anything with you, we need to be able to contact you quickly. Again, we won't pester you.

-

User name and PIN number/memorable date - this is to keep your information secure and so that we can recall your information each time you visit us.

-
Where you heard about us - we value your custom and like to reward those who recommend you shop with us. For example, if you heard about us from one of our stores we will reward our colleagues in your local store.
